Overview
This step allows Admins only to define the Secondary Hierarchy used to filter and present data in the CAMS Mobile App. The secondary hierarchy typically relates to assets, components, or systems grouped under a parent location or structure.
This configuration helps refine the inspection experience by ensuring that inspectors only see relevant data based on their selected location or context.
Note: Secondary hierarchies are predefined in the module setup. Admins can only choose from the available list of hierarchies and modify the display names, not the structure itself.
For Inspectors
This step is not available to Inspectors. Your Admin team configures how asset-related data is grouped and filtered for your inspection activities.
For Admins
Selecting the Hierarchy
From the dropdown menu, select the appropriate Secondary Hierarchy (e.g. Asset, Asset Type, or Asset Group). This defines the structure that will be available for filtering and navigating asset-related data in the mobile app.
Once selected, click Save to apply the hierarchy to the module.
Important: If data collection has already been initiated, this setting cannot be changed unless all existing inspection records are completed or deleted.
Level Configuration
Each level in the selected hierarchy is displayed in the Level Configuration section. For each level, you can view and manage:
-
Level Key – The system name or identifier for the hierarchy level.
-
Display Name – The label that will be shown to inspectors in the mobile app. This can be renamed using the edit icon.
-
Depend on Previous Field – Indicates whether the level is filtered based on a parent field.
-
Inspectable – Defines whether the inspector can perform inspections at this level (for secondary hierarchies, this is typically not applicable).
Tip: While the Secondary Hierarchy does not typically contain inspectable levels, its configuration supports accurate grouping and filtering of inspection data based on asset structure.
